Monica Longo, Accelera researcher, was awarded with the Elsevier Prize for the Best Poster Communication

During the 36th Annual Conference of the European Teratology Society, held in Edinburgh, 21-24 September 2008, the Annual Elsevier Prize for the Best Poster Communication was presented to Monica Longo an Italian Accelera researcher.

Dr. Longo's poster presented to the ETS focused on "Embriotoxicity of Artemisinin-Type Compounds" and was chosen because it was considered a fine example of concomitant application of both in vivo and in vitro experiments in the field of reproductive toxicology, and a demonstration of how animal and human data need to be integrated to assess risk and benefit of drug use in pregnancy.

The prize was dedicated to the prevention of Adverse Effects during reproduction and development.
