Responsibilities
- To identify and prospect potential Clients and leads, while leveraging an
established contact network.
- Development and cultivation of existing relationships with current Client
Accounts to ensure repeat and expanded business.
- To organize and execute face-to-face client visits, accompanied by senior
operational staff as appropriate.
- Taking responsibility for all parts of the sales cycle, generating a sustainable
"pipeline" of sales to meet annual growth targets.
- Meeting and exceeding agreed growth and sales targets, expanding Accelera's
client base and market penetration.
- To represent Accelera at pan-European and international meetings.
- To recognize sales barriers and develop methods to overcome them.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a scientific discipline, advanced degree preferred.
- Two to five years experience in a contract research environment, directly
involved in the provision of drug discovery and development services,
preferably in a GLP or pre-clinical environment.
- Solid background and knowledge of the drug development process and related
services needed to bring a drug to market.
- Must have strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal, communication,
and networking skills, and have demonstrated sound decision making skills and
autonomy in past positions.
- Fluent English required, plus fluent French and/or German strongly preferred.
- Flexibility to spend approx 50% of sales time traveling.
